As they say, a picture conveys a thousand words. So, to set the stage for a recap of our first annual West Coast fundraiser, feast your eyes on the view of the Viceroy Santa Monica at night. If you can visualize light music, a soft breeze, and the buzz of a mix of SAMFund alumni, partners and volunteers arriving -- the stage is now set!
Can't see it yet? Then take a look at some of the pictures that show the heart and soul of who we are, who we help, and who helps us. This party by the Pacific brought together a phenomenal community of The SAMFund alumni, volunteers, partners, and new supporters that made memories for a lifetime.

When co-chairs and SAMFund Alumni Leaders Valerie and Amelia were planning the event, they described it as a "chance to pay it forward so that others can also claim their survivorship in a way that is both uplifting and transformational." Pay it forward they did, and then some. The event
raised close to $9,000 for young adult survivors through ticket sales, an amazing silent auction, and a signature drink made just for us by the creative talents at the Viceroy Santa Monica.
A very special thanks to our host committee and volunteers for a powerful event: Ana Beesen, Jennifer Dasteel, Jenniffer Rojas, Alli Abbott, Amelia Fay-Berquist, Valerie Sun, Suzie Laskin, Christine Pechera, and to our event sponsors:
Viceroy Santa Monica and
EventSorbet.
