Back in 2004, we hosted our very first fundraiser in New York City -- a stand-up comedy show that a) gave us a chance to share our story with a new audience, b) was a huge success, and c) made us laugh so hard that our sides hurt by the end of the night. (No exaggeration.) It was such a fun event that we decided to repeat it for the following five years. From 2004-2009, these NYC Comedy Night events raised over $40,000 for our grants program!
So imagine how excited we are to announce that Comedy Night is back - and bigger and better than ever!!
If you're in the NYC area, or feel like a visit, here are the details:
When: Thursday, November 17th
Where: From 6-7:30pm, we'll be at the Gin Mill, and then it's on to StandUp NY at 8pm for a comedy show! (You don't have to come to both if you don't want to...tickets will be sold separately but they're both going to be fun. We're just saying.)
The line-up for the comedy show will be announced soon, but if past years are any indication, laughs are guaranteed. Huge thanks to Steinberg Talent for coordinating this event (as they have since the very first one) and for just making our lives so easy.
